For more than a century the Hyde Park Picture House has been a constant and important part of the local community. Over recent years, much of our work has focused on supporting those who might otherwise struggle to visit the cinema, with dedicated screenings for audiences who are deaf/hard of hearing, for young parents/carers and for those living with dementia or autism.

For many however, one of the biggest barriers remains the cinema’s lack of accessible facilities. That’s why we’re excited to start work on The Picture House Project – an exciting redevelopment that will see the creation of vital new facilities, alongside essential repair and restoration work – ensuring the cinema is a place everyone in our community feels is welcoming, accessible and relevant to them.

With 80% of funding for the project already secured, we’re now asking for you – our incredible audience – to help us raise the last remaining amount. By donating, you’ll not only play a crucial role in preserving the cinema’s rich heritage, but you’ll also help to make the building more open and accessible for all in the years to come. Thank you.
